Mission
The mission of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc. is to create a strong sisterhood that will serve as a support for college women in today's society. The sisterhood shall support its members in their individual journeys towards a balanced life. The Alpha Pi Omega woman will always strive for greater scholarship, honesty, leadership, service, and personal integrity. The Sorority will work to preserve our Native American traditions, for through celebration and practice of our cultural and spiritual heritage, we become one with each other.
"My Sister As Myself"
The Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc. was founded at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on September 1, 1994. Our sorority is the country's oldest Native American Greek letter organization. The sisterhood has more than 800 sisters representing more than 100 tribes nationwide and 24 chartered chapters.
Four Fundamental Principles
The sisterhood stands for four principles: education, spirituality, traditionalism, and contemporary issues.
Our Sorority Colors
Our sorority's colors are fire red, new grass green, and maize yellow.

Our official philanthropy is the National Indian Education Association (NIEA).
